Our church is led by a small team of elders.
Elders are here to care for and to serve the church.

Dan Reisinger
Dan grew up in a Christian home in southwest London, where he first came to know the Lord and believe the gospel. By God’s grace, he became the pastor of Hope Chapel in July 2024. With his wife, Bethan, and their two children, he has moved into Haslemere and is thrilled to have the opportunity to help others know Jesus better through the scriptures. He loves God’s word and desires to see it faithfully proclaimed for the Church’s progress and joy in the faith, and the glory of God. A significant verse is Isaiah 66:2b “But to this one I will look, to him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word”.

Lance Anelay
Lance has lived in nearby Hindhead since 2015 with his wife Shona and their 4 children. Having previously been members of Grace Church Guildford, Lance and Shona were part of a team seeking to re-establish the church at Hope Chapel. Lance works in real estate finance, whilst Shona is a teacher locally. Outside work Lance enjoys coastal rowing and playing golf at Hindhead GC. A significant Bible verse is Psalm 105:4 ‘Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always’.

Pete Rush
Pete moved to Haslemere in March 2022 with his wife, Margaret, and dog, Barney, as part of the team from Grace Church in Guildford to help establish the church at Hope Chapel. Having retired from work he is able to devote time to growing the church, but he and Margaret also retain a keen interest in God’s people in China. He believes that living in the local community is important for sharing the good news. Restoring their 400 year old cottage which is 150 yards from the chapel is both a help and a challenge. A significant Bible verse is Joshua 1:9 “Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go”.
